MW3 players are revealing that the game’s slow time to kill has caused them to flock to the Hardcore game modes.

Hardcore has been in the CoD series for over a decade, and MW3 continues with this tradition.

In this mode, players operate without much of their HUD and damage is increased, leading to quicker kills than in the normal multiplayer modes.

This increased speed in killing now appears to be what is drawing a lot of MW3 fans away from the usual multiplayer fare.

An MW3 fan took to the game’s subreddit to discuss their first time playing Hardcore after feeling burnt out by the game’s time to kill.

“I’d never played HC in the previous titles and some friends talked me in to it, had a blast through about 10 games. I think this might be the way to go until the TTK comes down a little bit in the base game.”

There is a large part of the community who agrees with this idea as well, including players who have been fans of Hardcore for a while and those who are turned off by the current time to kill.

“Once hardcore became a thing in previous cods, that’s all I’ve played. I try core here and there but can’t stand the ttk. Hardcore is so much more fun too.”

Another user details how MW3 is the first game that they’ve tried Hardcore, and that they “…have a blast.”

However, this mindset does still have its critics: “True Unpopular Opinion: You all love hardcore because you can’t hit your shots. Every friend I have that likes HC is trash at the game but they love HC because it gives them a chance lol.”

Others feel that Hardcore mode causes the movement in the game to be restricted because more players are camping.

Regardless, Hardcore continues to have a strong following in MW3, and it looks like more players are starting to flock to it.
