American streamer Saqib ‘LIRIK’ Zahid found an amusing bug while in an intense game on the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout beta.

LIRIK was exploring the Hydro Dam location in the north-east corner of the map when he noticed that the storm was coming in much quicker than he anticipated.
Thinking fast, Zahid ran to the water, hoping to make a quick getaway in the speedboat parked by the dock. There was one problem, however – the boat was upside-down!

Zahid had problems steering the vessel as well, realising that the controls had been inverted due to the boat’s upside-down condition just seconds before he crashed into a rock. Thankfully, the impact seemed to right LIRIK’s boat, with the American joking: “that’s how you do it!” as he sped towards the safe zone.

The Blackout game mode is currently in a beta state, so glitches like this are to be expected. By allowing players the opportunity to test the newest addition to the Call of Duty franchise, Treyarch can use real-time feedback from players regarding improvements and bugs that need addressing.
Blackout is Call of Duty’s answer to the popular battle royale genre that has taken over gaming in the last couple of years. The beta is only available on PlayStation 4 right now, but Xbox One and PC players will be able to try it out on Friday, September 14.
