Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution has revealed some details about CoD 2020 and 2021 – with the possibility that the next installment could be missing a popular feature.

Call of Duty fans from around the globe have been sinking their teeth into Modern Warfare ever since it was released back in October, however, there are always rumors and speculation about what is coming next.

A return to the Black Ops series is in-store for Call of Duty 2020.

During his March 18 YouTube upload, the CoD leaker revealed some insight into what is coming next with details about Black Ops 5 with the return of Zombies, a Cold War story for the campaign, and a few tweaks to multiplayer.

However, the YouTuber also noted that there might not be an all-new battle royale for fans to get their hands on but that they would, instead, be still playing Call of Duty: Warzone.

“YouTubers were apparently told at the Warzone capture event that Warzone is going to be the last battle royale for Call of Duty,” the leaker said, but admitted that plans could change even though his sources have heard “nothing about battle royale.”

Free-to-play CoD in 2021?

He speculated that it might be due to the fact that Sledgehammer Games are working on a supposed free-to-play title that should be released alongside the 2021 Call of Duty title.

According to the leaker, this game is set to be some sort of open-world game with “a lot” of battle royale elements. Though, it would be a spin-off from the Call of Duty franchise as a whole.

Of course, though TheGamingRevolution has been proven to be reliable with information in the past, these games are still months and even years away, so plans could very well change.

For now, however, it appears as if Call of Duty fans will just have to keep playing through Warzone until potential new information comes to the surface.
