The Dallas Empire Home Series has now wrapped up, with Florida Mutineers claiming victory! Check out our full CDL Dallas recap for highlights, brackets, and more.
It’s been over a month since Call of Duty esports fans have seen any CDL action, with the current global health crisis forcing the league to restructure its inaugural 2020 season and the remaining Home Series all to be played online.
The last event was in Los Angeles, which was won by the Dallas Empire, and now Clayster, Crimsix, and co. are trying to go back-to-back as they “host” their own Home Series.

The tournament works the same as it would have on LAN, except the eight participating teams are competing online over the course of three days, instead of two.
There are some heavy hitters in attendance, including Chicago Huntsmen, Minnesota ROKKR, Florida Mutineers, and Paris Legion, all of whom are currently in the top five of the 2020 CDL standings.

Format & rules
Like all CDL events, the Dallas Empire Home Series operates a tournament format featuring eight of the league’s 12 teams in attendance.
The squads are split into two groups of four, in which they play a double-elimination bracket. Two series wins guarantees a spot in the playoff bracket, while two losses means elimination.
Two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs – a single-elimination bracket consisting of two semifinal matches and the Grand Final.
