Former CoD pro NAMELESS witnesses player revive himself in Blackout

Call of Duty pro player turned analyst Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler caught a player somehow reviving himself in Black Ops 4’s Blackout battle royale mode.

Playing Squads with a group that featured OpTic’s MBoZe, NAMELESS was in a medium ranged gunfight with a group of enemy players when he noticed one of them was in the downed position, but yet to be eliminated.

He pushed up the spot to get the elimination on the player, only to see him miraculously get up from his downed position and begin firing back, without any teammates there to have revived him.

Although NAMELESS managed to get the kill regardless, the enemy player had managed to land some shots and get him hurt, which led to him getting killed by another enemy player nearby.

The whole situation blew NAMELESS’ mind, causing him to take a moment to try and digest exactly what had just happened.

While some may argue that the player NAMELESS had approached was never actually downed, it’s quite clear that he was. First of all, there is no way for an on-screen character to lay in the position unless they have been knocked down.

The player was also very hurt when NAMELESS began shooting at him, which is customary for those who have just gotten revived from a downed position.

Finally, and perhaps the most tell-tale sign, is his and MBoZe’s reaction after the whole sequence took place. They was so caught off guard by the player getting up that they had to have been convinced the played had been knocked.

Considering what happened to NAMELESS here, it’s best for all players to be wary when approaching a downed player to finish off a kill. You never know who’s going to revive themselves next.
