FaZe Clan’s Doug ‘Censor‘ Martin has confirmed that he plans to compete during the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season – and says he will win the World Championship.

After two previous retirements, Censor looks to be making his third comeback, after stepping away from competing at the end of the WWII season.
It’s believed that he was set to join Evil Geniuses for the Black Ops 4 season, but the team changed their minds when Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson became available, leaving Censor teamless and out of options only weeks before the season began.

He was forced to either start over from the amateur level once again, or retire, and chose the latter, having grinded the entire WWII season from amateur to Pro League, only to find himself back at square one.
Censor hinted at a return to competition earlier in the Black Ops 4 season too, but this never came to fruition. With Modern Warfare now officially announced though, he is doubling down on his intentions.
On June 3, the YouTuber proudly claimed: “I’m winning champs on Modern Warfare next year.”
I'm winning champs on Modern Warfare next year.

Of course, immediately there were doubters and naysayers, who highlighted Censor’s previous retirements, and his failure to win the WWII world championship, despite similarly stating frequently that he would.
Martin had a rebuttal lined up however, reminding those who doubt him of his track record, having made successful comebacks previously.
I took a year off in BO2 came back in Ghosts and won 2 chips. I took 3 years off came back in WW2 and was the 1st retired player to make it into the pro league with ZERO help at all from anybody. That's facts :grinning: https://t.co/sdEVNHVTeO

In a final defiant statement, Censor explained that closer to the release of Modern Warfare, on October 25, he will make a video on his YouTube channel revealing his “point of view” on his career that he says will “shock” fans.
I don't think anyone truly understands where I'm coming from. Towards the MW release date I'll make a video that explains my POV on my COD career that I think will really shock a lot of you guys.

The next competitive season of Call of Duty will be the first with the new city-based franchise league, which will undoubtedly shake up rosters, rules and team compositions.
It may be the perfect time for a well-known, albeit doubted, former pro like Censor to make a comeback, but he will have to prove to fellow professionals that he is dedicated, and talented enough, to be worth a spot on a CWL team.
