Call of Duty: Warzone map – Every location and overview

Infinity Ward

Modern Warfare’s new battle royale is finally confirmed in the form of Call of Duty: Warzone, with players able to jump into the action in new locations and iconic points of interest in one of the biggest maps ever seen in a battle royale.

Somewhat of a successor to Black Ops 4’s Blackout, the first battle royale entry into the Call of Duty franchise, Warzone brings some of Infinity Ward’s most iconic maps to players with a free-flow of nostalgia throughout.

As you can see, there are almost 20 named locations on the Warzone map, mostly weighted towards the south side of the map, with only three locations named along the northern border.

Is this the same Quarry from Modern Warfare 2?

Certain locations are definitely recognizable from previous iterations of Call of Duty games, such as Airport and TV Station, which are recreations of Terminal and Broadcast respectively.

There’s also the likes of Boneyard, which appears to be Modern Warfare 2’s Scrapyard, although a lot of the map looks to be very fresh so you don’t feel that you’re revisiting old areas over and over again.

The map itself is considerably bigger than the Blackout map, which seems necessary given how much they’ve packed into it.

Burgertown has finally been given the respect it deserves as a fully-decked out restaurant in Warzone.

Warzone looks set to bring a completely new style to battle royale, emulating some of the best features of the most successful ones before it, as well as featuring an economy complete with contracts, killstreaks and more.

Naturally, we imagine a lot of players will look to drop at the likes of Airport and Boneyard straight away – so you best bring your A-game if you plan on going there.
