Sniping in Warzone has always been an integral part of Call of Duty’s battle royale, but not every sniper rifle is worth using. That’s why you need to know which are the best one-shot snipers to use in Season 6.
Back in the original Warzone, sniping was incredibly strong, with powerhouses like the Kar98k and 3-Line Rifle running the show. This led to Warzone 2 heavily nerfing them, leaving the marksman weapons entirely out of the meta.
However, the arrival of Urzikstan saw snipers gain popularity once again, with there now being several worth using. This has continued into the current season, where several snipers are meta, with their power even proving controversial at times.
The community’s calls for nerfs are unlikely to stop anytime soon, but until they arrive, you’ll want to be using these sniper loadouts to win more games and rack up kills with ease.
Best One-Shot Sniper Rifle loadouts
These are the five best sniper rifle loadouts to use in Warzone Season 6 to rack up one-shot kills with ease:
1. Kar98k
Best Kar98k Build
- Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor L
- Barrel: Prazisionsgewehr 762 Long Barrel
- Optic: SP-X 80 6.6x
- Ammunition: 7.92x57mm High Grain Rounds
- Sling: Recon Sling
Perks & Equipment
- Perk 1: Double Time
- Perk 2: Mountaineer
- Perk 3: Cold-Blooded
- Perk 4: Ghost
- Lethal: Throwing Knife
- Tactical: Smoke Grenade
The Kar98k was targeted by a series of nerfs after it dominated everything on arrival. These nerfs made it less powerful, but it can still one-shot down enemies up to 75 meters while also offering an extremely fast aim down sight speed. That ensures that this classic weapon is still the best sniper rifle in Season 6, and that looks unlikely to change anytime soon.
Given it’s incredible handling, it’s no surprise that the Kar98k is the most used sniper rifle in Resurgence game modes. The fast-paced action of Resurgence lends itself well to the marksman rifle’s strengths, and it’s lower range isn’t a big hindrance due to the mode’s smaller maps. However, it is less popular on battle royale, as most shots you take are beyond its one shot-limit.
PROS | CONS |
---|---|
One-shot kill potential | Limited range |
Fast handling | Low bullet velocity |
Above-average mobility | Slow rate of fire |
Meta in Resurgence modes | Small magazine |
2. KATT-AMR
Best KATT-AMR build
- Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor XL
- Barrel: Zang-34 Barrel
- Stock: Tactical Stock Pad
- Ammunition: .50 Cal High Velocity
- Bolt: Ephemeral Quickbolt
Perks & Equipment
- Perk 1: Double Time
- Perk 2: Focus
- Perk 3: Cold-Blooded
- Perk 4: High Alert
- Lethal: Proximity Mine
- Tactical: Smoke Grenade
The KATT-AMR is the only Sniper Rifle capable of one-shot kills at any range without the need for specific attachments. It boasts incredible damage and bullet velocity but has slow handling stats compared to the other meta options. Thankfully, this can be mitigated by playing smart and controlling high ground, taking advantage of the KATT-AMR’s high bullet velocity and unlimited range.
This incredible range makes it the best option in battle royale modes and on large maps like Urzikstan. Most sniper shots you take will travel far beyond the 75-meter limit of the Kar98k, giving this heavy-duty weapon the edge in those situations. However, it isn’t nearly as popular on Resurgence, as its poor handling stats make it difficult for the KATT-AMR to keep up with other guns.
PROS | CONS |
---|---|
One-shot kill potential | Sluggish handling |
Unlimited range | Low mobility |
Very High bullet velocity | Slow rate of fire |
Meta in Battle Royale modes | High flinch |
3. MORS
Best MORS build
- Barrel: Tonne Heavy Barrel
- Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Light
- Stock: Icarus Light Stock
- Ammunition: HVP Anti-Materiel Slug
- Bolt: Quick Bolt
Perks & Equipment
- Perk 1: Double Time
- Perk 2: Focus
- Perk 3: Cold-Blooded
- Perk 4: High Alert
- Lethal: Proximity Mine
- Tactical: Smoke Grenade
It’s only natural that a railgun would be capable of one-shot downs, and the MORS doesn’t disappoint. This loadout can take out enemies at any distance with the HVP Anti-Material Slug rounds, but there is a catch. The MORS’ slow fire rate makes missed shots particularly punishing, so only skilled players should use this gun instead of the higher-ranked entries on this list.

However, it has fallen out of favor in recent seasons, with the Kar98k dominating Resurgence and the KATT-AMR being the best choice for battle royale. Even so, the MORS is still a competitive option that offers a middle ground between the two. You’ll also never have to worry about magazine capacity since the MORS only loads one round at a time, which gives you one less thing to deal with.
PROS | CONS |
---|---|
One-shot kill potential w/ammo | Slow rate of fire |
Unlimited range | Below-average handling |
High bullet velocity | Below-average mobility |
Literal railgun | Reloads after every shot |
4. XRK Stalker
Best XRK Stalker build
- Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor XL
- Barrel: Fission 60 Barrel
- Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Light
- Ammunition: .50 Cal High Grain Rounds
- Bolt: XRK Stalker Light Bolt
Perks & Equipment
- Perk 1: Double Time
- Perk 2: Focus
- Perk 3: Cold-Blooded
- Perk 4: Ghost
- Lethal: Throwing Knife
- Tactical: Smoke Grenade
The XRK Stalker has been able to one-shot down enemies since it was buffed back in Season 2, and it retains that ability to this day. This sniper handles faster than most of its competitors, making it a strong option for aggressive sniping. The catch is that its maximum one-shot range is capped at 75 meters, so there’s not much reason to use this over the superior Kar98k.
As such, it has completely fallen out of favor in both Resurgence and battle royale. Warzone players are just using the Kar98k instead, or resorting to the KATT-AMR when required. To be fair, the XRK Stalker is still a great weapon, but it’s a great weapon that has been superceded by two guns that now define the meta as we know it.
PROS | CONS |
---|---|
One-shot kill potential | Mediocre bullet velocity |
Great handling | Slow rate of fire |
Exceptional mobility | Limited range |
Large magazine capacity | Powercrept by Kar98k |
5. MCPR-300
Best MCPR-300 build
- Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor L
- Barrel: 22″ OMX-456
- Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Light
- Ammunition: .300 Mag Explosive
- Bolt: Cronen Smooth Bolt
Perks & Equipment
- Perk 1: Double Time
- Perk 2: Focus
- Perk 3: Cold-Blooded
- Perk 4: Ghost
- Lethal: Throwing Knife
- Tactical: Smoke Grenade
The MCPR-300 remains a solid option, largely due to its high damage, which this loadout maximizes. Equip its explosive ammo, and your shots become a wrecking ball of pain for your enemies, allowing you to down them in just one shot. This rendition of the iconic Barrett. 50 cal is a good sniper that beats out every other option in MW2’s arsenal, but the newer MW3 snipers still outclass it.
The problem is that the .300 Mag Explosive ammunition required to one shot down with this gun reduces its bullet velocity by a staggering 48%. So, while it may technically have infinite range, actually landing shots beyond 100 meters or so with the MCPR-300 is difficult. This is reflected in its usage rate, with the once meta sniper rifle now seeing very little use.
PROS | CONS |
---|---|
One-shot kill potential w/ammo | Very low bullet velocity |
Decent handling | Slow rate of fire |
Great range | Limited attachment pool |
Very high damage | Low mobility |
