Warzone can be challenging at the best of times, so optimizing your controller settings is essential to make the experience easier.
Black Ops 6 has integrated with Warzone, not just bringing across all of the new guns and omnimovement, but new settings as well. The last thing you want in a heated gunfight is to miss shots because your settings let you down. Equally, suboptimal controller settings can make omnimovement feel awkward and sluggish, and you’ll want to be nimble to keep up with the competition.
Here are the best Warzone controller settings to put you in the best position in every gunfight, so that you can dominate Call of Duty’s battle royale.
Best Warzone controller settings after BO6 update
Inputs
- Aiming Input Device: Controller
- Stick Layout Preset: Tactical
- Horizontal Stick Sensitivity: 7
- Vertical Stick Sensitivity: 7
- Simplified Controls Preset: Off
- Low Motor Strain Preset: Off
- Bumper Ping: Off
- Flip L1/R1 or LB/RB with L2/R2 or LT/RT: On
- Stick Layout Preset: Default
- Controller Vibration: Off
- Trigger Effect: Off
Sensitivity is all down to personal preference. I prefer running 7-7 in Warzone and Black Ops 6 but you can experiment with something lower or higher to find what you’re most accurate with.
If you don’t have a controller with back paddles then the Tactical preset might be for you, as sliding, diving, and going prone are controlled by the analog stick so you can still aim while drop-shotting. Also, if you’re looking for the fastest reaction times, moving the fire button to R1/RB lets you shoot much faster as there’s no button travel time.
While controller vibration might feel more immersive in campaign or zombies, it’s an unnecessary distraction in multiplayer.
Dead Zone Inputs
- Left Stick Min: 0
- Left Stick Max: 0.85
- Right Stick Min: 0
- Right Stick Max: 0.99
- Left Trigger: 0
- Right Trigger: 0
When it comes to the best Dead Zone settings, you’ll want to have the left and right stick set as low as possible without getting stick drift. Start at zero, then slowly increase the value until the stick drift stops.

You’ll also want to set the right and left trigger to 0 so your controller will register the input straight away.

Best BO6 FOV settings
- Field of View: 105

Anywhere in the region of 100-115 will be ideal for Warzone as it gives you all of the information you need without making further off targets too small and difficult to see. I’ve settled for 105 as it lets me see and shoot far off targets without needing to press my nose up to the monitor.
