SMGs have always played a crucial part in multiplayer, with them being the best option for close-range gunfights in most cases. Modern Warfare 3 is no different with the likes of the Superi 46 being amongst the best weapons in MW3.

The FJX Horus is already strong on its own, but the JAK Scimitar Kit makes it even better. This powerful Aftermarket Part turns the FJX Horus into an AR-SMG hybrid that is still strong up close, but also performs much better at both medium and long range.

To make the FJX Horus as versatile as possible, use both the Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider and FTAC SP-10 Angled Grip. When combined, these improve recoil control by around 20%, which makes the MW3 SMG much more consistent when trying to stretch out its effective range.

You don’t want to overfocus on recoil control though, as the FJX Horus is still an SMG, so mobility and handling are equally important. To take advantage of this strength, use the Modus 30 Stock to boost ADS Speed by 7% and Sprint Speed by 4%. This is an incredibly powerful attachment that provides huge benefits while having zero notable cons.

Last but not least, a meta sight like the JAK Glassless Optic is a great option to make landing shots easier. Once again, this is especially useful when attempting to take down enemies from far away, which is something that FJX Horus is perfectly capable of with the JAK Scimitar Kit equipped.

Best FJX Horus MW3 class: Perks and equipment

  • Vest: Ninja Vest – Eliminate footstep sounds, immune to movement reduction effects, bonus Throwing Star/Knife ammo, resupply Throwing Stas/Knives every 25 seconds.
  • Boots: Stalker Boots – Increased strafe and ADS movement speed.
  • Gear: Data Jacker – Enemies you kill drop a smartphone. Collecting the smartphone generates a radar ping from that location.
  • Lethal: Throwing Knife
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade

Since you’ll be constantly running around with the FJX Horus, it makes sense to use the Ninja Vest. This powerful vest perk silences your footsteps and resupplies Throwing Knives, making you both silent and deadly. Speaking of equipment, you’ll also want to use a Stun Grenade to immobilize enemies and rake in easy kills.

The Ninja Vest already provides the benefits of Covert Sneakers, so the boots slot is instead best used on the Stalker Boots. These increase strafe and ADS movement speed, letting you move around and push enemies easier, taking advantage of the FJX Horus’ excellent mobility.

As for the lone gear slot, the Data Jacker perk is a fantastic option with a mobile SMG like this. When activated, it causes players you kill to drop a smartphone, which can then be collected for a free radar ping, exposing the locations of other nearby enemies.

How to unlock the FJX Horus in MW3

To get the FJX Horus in Modern Warfare 3, you’ll need to activate it in the Armory and then complete either 5 Daily Challenges or win 5 matches in multiplayer. Previously, it was earned by completing Sector 8 of the Season 3 Battle Pass, but this option was removed once Season 4 started.
