Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is on the horizon, and with it comes a new series of weapons for players to discover and master. And, now that we’re so close to launch, the full weapon list has been made available.
This list includes everything from the guns’ magazine size by default, fire modes, a look at the weapon models, and more. It remains to be seen if the meta-dominant guns from the beta carry over to Black Ops 6’s full release (looking at you Jackal), but there are a ton of exciting new guns here that’ll be available when the game launches.
Also, while they may not share the same name they had in prior CoD entries, there are some returning classics from the series that may surprise you.
Here are all 33 weapons Black Ops 6, including how to unlock them and what they do.

All Primary Weapons in Black Ops 6
Assault Rifles
XM4
- Unlocked by default
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Full-auto
This gun was a workhorse in the beta and not a bad starter option. It’s pretty easy to use and does its job as a standard all-rounder AR.
Check out our XM4 loadout to learn about the gun’s best attachments and how to use it.
AK-74
- Unlocked at Level 10
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Full-auto
Slow fire rate, low accuracy, hard to control recoil, high damage per bullet. It’s what you’d expect from an AK, not much else to it.
However, you’ll want to cut that recoil down if you’re using this gun. Check out our loadout guide for the AK-74 to see how you can conquer that kick and rack up killstreaks.
AMES 85
- Unlocked at Level 19
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Full-auto
Trades out power for low recoil. It wasn’t an overly impressive weapon in the beta, though that may change in Black Ops 6’s full release.
That said, this weapon is improved by having the right attachments. Check out our AMES 85 loadout guide to see what you should be running.
GPR 91
- Unlocked at Level 28
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Full-auto
It’s basically an SA80, a fully automatic bullpup rifle. Hard to say how good it’ll be since it wasn’t in the beta. The devs said it makes up for its lack of raw power with “best-in-class handling and a decent rate of fire.”
Model L
- Unlocked at Level 40
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Full-auto
Slow-firing Assault Rifle with fairly high damage per shot. This wasn’t in the beta, so it’s hard to say how it’ll compare to the AK-47 as a similar-sounding weapon.
Goblin Mk2
- Unlocked at Level 46
- Default mag size: 20
- Mags: 4
- Fire mode: Semi-auto
The power of the semi-automatic Goblin Mk2 will depend entirely on how many shots to kill it’ll take. If it takes 2 hits to the chest to kill like a standard DMR with a high rate of fire, this thing will be a beast in Black Ops 6.
AS VAL
- Unlocked at Level 55
- Default mag size: 20
- Mags: 5
- Fire mode: Full-auto
An iconic AK variant with a built-in silencer. You’ll probably want to grind for an extended mag on this gun as soon as you get it.
Submachine Guns
C9
- Unlocked by default
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 4
- Fire mode: Full Auto
Basically an MP5. This SMG was pretty powerful in the beta, though it wasn’t the best weapon in the class. Not a bad starter weapon, and it’s made much better with the right attachments.
Check out our C9 loadout guide to see how you can make this gun a mid-range beast.
KSV
- Unlocked at Level 7
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 4
- Fire mode: Full Auto
This weapon wasn’t in the beta, so it’s hard to say how it’ll stack up in the class. However, it’s safe to assume it’ll be good at close range.
Tanto .22
- Unlocked at Level 16
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 4
- Fire mode: Full Auto
The Tanto .22 is advertised as a slow-firing SMG that hits hard, meaning it’ll likely be a 3-shot kill. This gun will live and die based on whether or not it can perform better than other SMGs at range but was pretty powerful in the beta.
PP-919
- Unlocked at Level 37
- Default mag size: 64
- Mags: 2
- Fire mode: Full Auto
Basically a PP-Bizon with that signature helical mag. At least you won’t have to worry about taking an extended mag on this one.
Jackal PDW
- Unlocked at Level 43
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 4
- Fire mode: Full Auto
The Jackal absolutely dominated the Black Ops 6 beta as the best weapon in the game by far. Hopefully, that’ll change in Black Ops 6’s full release.
Here’s our loadout guide for the most optimized Jackal PDW build, though that may change going into the full BO6 release.
Kompakt 92
- Unlocked at Level 49
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 4
- Fire mode: Full-auto
Supposedly the fastest-firing weapon in the class, this gun is set up to be the signature bullet hose of Black Ops 6. Safe to assume you’ll want an extended mag with this one.
Shotguns
Marine SP
- Unlocked by default
- Default mag size: 6
- Mags: 4 (24 Shells)
- Fire mode: Pump-action
It’s your standard, pump-action shotgun that’s meant to get one-shot kills. Not much else to it. This gun was alright in the beta, the range felt limited but BO6’s long-ish TTK gave some room for error.
That said, you can extend that one-shot range with the right loadout.
ASG-89
- Unlocked at Level 31
- Default mag size: 6
- Mags: 4
- Fire mode: Semi-auto
Great for if you’re not into the idea of waiting for a pump-action shotgun to rechamber a round, although it’s bound to have a much shorter one-shot kill range.
Light Machine Guns
PU-21
- Unlocked by default
- Default mag size: 75
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Full-auto
The middle-of-the-pack LMG of Black Ops 6. Slower than an AR, but easier to handle than some of the game’s heavier weapons. Does what you’d think an LMG would do.

XMG
- Unlocked at Level 13
- Default mag size: 100
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Full-auto
Slow fire rate, large mag size. This thing was an absolute menace in the beta with the crossbar, it was like bringing back BO4’s Hades all over again.
Or you can use the optimal loadout for the XMG if you value things like accuracy and consistency. It’s a bit more boring, but probably more effective.
GPMG-7
- Unlocked at Level 52
- Default mag size: 50
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Full-auto
High fire rate and high recoil with a small mag, this thing is a loose cannon. If you’re trying to get a bunch of bullets downrange fast, this is the gun for you.
Marksman Rifles
Swat 5.56
- Unlocked by default
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Three-round burst
The Swat 5.56 was Black Ops 6’s premiere three-round burst gun in the beta, and it does what you’d expect it to. You probably won’t kill in one burst, but it’s got a small enough delay on the burst to send another lethal volley of rounds down range. It’s an alright weapon.
You can check out our Swat 5.56 loadout guide if you’re eager to give this gun a shot, but know that it’ll take a lot of leveling to get Rapid Fire and unlock this gun’s true potential.
Tsarkov 7.62
- Unlocked at Level 22
- Default mag size: 20
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Semi-auto
The description of this weapon says it trades off power for handling, so it remains to be seen how consistent 2-shot kills are with this weapon.
AEK-973
- Unlocked at Level 34
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Three-round burst
Another three-round burst weapon that’s part of the AK family, the AEK-973 stands out from the Swat thanks to its “great stability and a fast rate of fire,” making it deadly at long ranges.
DM-10
- Unlocked at Level 43
- Default mag size: 20
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Semi-auto
Coming with a scope by default, this weapon is clearly meant for longer ranges. However, you’ll probably need a few attachments to get that two-shot kill range to last beyond 10-15 meters.
Check out our DM-10 loadout guide to see what you need to make this a lethal mid-range weapon.
Sniper Rifles
LW3A1 Frostline
- Unlocked by default
- Default mag size: 5
- Mags: 4
- Fire mode: Bolt-action
The L96 is back! Just with a different name. This is the first sniper rifle you’ll get your hands on, and it’s an absolute classic in the Black Ops series.
SVD
- Unlocked at Level 25
- Default mag size: 10
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Semi-auto
The type of Dragunov sniper rifle you’d expect from a Black Ops game. Still 1 shot headshots, but that’s about it. You already know this thing is gonna be a pain for those camo challenges.
That said, it is aided by the right attachments, and you can see those in our loadout guide.
LR 7.62
- Unlocked at Level 49
- Default mag size: 5
- Mags: 4
- Fire mode: Bolt-action
A slower firing, higher damage version of the L96 (sorry, LW3A1) that’ll guarantee one shot kills a bit lower than the chest. You’ll still get hit markers for anything below the waist, though.
With the right loadout, you’ll be quickscoping with the LR 7.62 in no time.
All Secondary Weapons in Black Ops 6
Pistols
9mm PM
- Unlocked by default
- Default mag size: 10
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Semi-auto
It does the job, that’s the best thing you can say of the 9mm PM. Its default mag size keeps it from taking out more than 2 targets before reloading in most cases.
Grekhova
- Unlocked at Level 13
- Default mag size: 20
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Semi-auto
Bigger mag size than the 9mm PM but lower damage, the Grekhova uses its fast fire rate to make up for having lower damage and a shorter range.
GS45
- Unlocked at Level 28
- Default mag size: 10
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Semi-auto
The slow-firing, high-damage powerhouse of the pistol class. Take this if you’re confident you can land shots.
Stryder .22
- Unlocked at Level 40
- Default mag size: 30
- Mags: 2
- Fire mode: Semi-auto
Big mag, low damage. If you’ve got a fast trigger finger, give this gun a shot and take advantage of its “best in class handling.”
Launchers
CIGMA 2B
- Unlocked by default
- Mag size: 1
- Mags: 2
- Fire mode: Single-fire, lock-on optional
The scorestreak killer. You’ll want to keep this stocked on one of your classes just in case someone gets a few too many kills in a row.
HE-1
- Unlocked at Level 19
- Mag size: 1
- Mags: 3
- Fire mode: Single fire, no lock-on
The classic meme weapon. If you really like making people angry they died to a rocket launcher, this is the one for you.
Melee Weapons
Knife
- Unlocked by default
A one-hit kill, the knife is the perfect weapon to quickly get around the map. It won’t replace your secondary either, as melee weapons are in a separate slot in Black Ops 6.
Baseball Bat
- Unlocked at Level 52
The Baseball Bat is slower than the knife and is a two-hit kill, but “is light enough for quick swings and heavy enough to inflict serious, blunt trauma on victims.”
Also, it’s worth noting that there won’t be a Riot Shield in Black Ops 6’s arsenal at launch.
That’s every weapon in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on release. There are bound to be more weapons added in the future, and we’ll update this list when those are added. In the meantime, you can check out all of the maps in the game, and how to get Twitch drop rewards.
