What’s Battlefield V’s player count in 2022?
The first-person shooter landscape is currently dominated by behemoths like Warzone and Apex Legends. Despite these, and the launch of Battlefield 2042, Battlefield V still has a healthy community of players.
According to activeplayer.io, there was an estimated average of 30,011 monthly players on Battlefield V throughout the end of September 2021 and the beginning of October 2021. This meant that players were gearing up for Battlefield 2042, as it represented huge growth in the game and more servers were needed as a result.

However, by December 30, 2021, nearly two months after the launch of Battlefield 2042, the average player count had actually gone up to 31,016. So not only have players not successfully converted to Battlefield 2042, but it does appear that fans were ditching it in favor of Battlefield V.
Now, as of May 19, 2022, the game has averaged 31,089 players over the past 30 days, meaning that even with the ongoing quality of life updates and bug fixes, Battlefield 2042 seems to be unable to lure BF V players away and it’s till performing better than before BF 2042 launched.

Will Battlefield 2042 kill Battlefield V?
Based on current figures and findings, the answer would have to be a resounding no, Battlefield 2024 will not kill off Battlefield V anytime soon.
It seems that the sequel’s problems are compounding on top of each other and multiplying. Unusual product placement, paid skins, and constant errors are all irking fans of the series. As a result, not only is Battlefield 2042 not outperforming Battlefield V, but its numbers are actually dropping.
EA and DICE are always issuing patches and updates for the game and EA are still committed to improving the game and bringing it up to par.
