Baldur’s Gate 3 players have had enough of the companions, and are looking to romance some lovable key NPCs… and an omnipresent voice?

Romance is a key aspect of Baldur’s Gate 3, with many heading into the game for their third or fourth playthrough just so they can try to romance the adorable Karlach instead of Astarion, Shadowheart, or Halsin.

However, while there are quite a few romance options in the game, many fans aren’t satisfied and are now calling for some new characters to be made into romanceable options. In fact, they didn’t stop there, as some players want the ability to romance the Narrator.

Baldur’s Gate 3 players demand NPC and Narrator romance option

Sharing their idea on Reddit, one Baldur’s Gate 3 user stated: “Let me marry the imaginary girl stuck in my head,” attaching an image highlighting how “Larian should add Alfira, Lakrissa, Dammon, and Rolan as romance options” as well as adding that “Larian should add the Narrator as a romance option.”

The meme attached explored that they much preferred the Narrator’s idea, but many took to the comments to express their approval for both the NPCs and the Narrator.

“Tav isn’t good enough for Alfira or Lakrissa no matter what they do” joked one player, suggesting that they’re far too good to be romanced by the protagonist.

Others highlighted how they may not even care about romancing the NPCs themselves, stating how they “just want Alfira as a companion. They could have her available after you help her finish her song and defend the Grove.”

This was echoed by another player, who commented that “They should add the option to set up companions and NPCs bc Karlach and Dammon would be fantastic.”

While many love the NPC idea, one element stood out, the thirst for the Narrator. Tons of fans took to the comments to share how they’d love the ability to flirt with the Narrator, who’s essentially the DM of the game: “She can have Authority over me any time.”

Whether it’s NPCs or the Narrator, one thing’s clear, Baldur’s Gate 3 players want to fall in love with practically everyone in the game.
