Assassin’s Creed Mirage will release in October

It’s official, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is slated to launch on October 12 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.

The gameplay trailer unleashed during PlayStation Showcase revealed that Basim’s adventure does indeed mark a return to form for the series. Basim wields a Hidden Blade, with a certain finger missing, and will carefully plan out how best to approach assassination targets.

In the latest adventure, players will assume the role of a younger Basim, a thief beset by “nightmarish visions.” The character’s quest for justice results in him carrying out a deadly act of retribution, after which he flees Baghdad.

When Assassin’s Creed Mirage releases this fall, fans can expect to follow Basim’s journey as he joins The Hidden Ones and accepts their rituals and creed.

The gameplay trailer indicates that like Altaïr in Assassin’s Creed 1, Basim will have the option to strategize, once more placing stealth at the series’ forefront.

As for the gameplay itself, Basim seems to move with the fluidity of Ezio and the sheer brutality of Connor in AC3. Parkour appears to take notes from multiple entries across the franchise, as well.
