Twitch star Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek has revealed the one thing that he’d like to see Apex Legends take from Fortnite in the future – and it’s not something you might expect.
As battle royale games continue to innovate and change, the different developers have seemingly taken inspiration from their rivals.
In the case of Apex Legends, Respawn added loot vaults with the addition of World’s Edge, and they were added to Fortnite not long after. Similarly, with Call of Duty Warzone, a train appeared in Verdansk during season five, similar to the one Apex used to have.
These features being used in rival games could simply be because its too good an idea to not use or because fans demand that devs keep up with their rivals. And in the case of Shroud, he’s got something he’d like Apex to take from Fortnite.
During his October 4 stream, the Twitch star had been playing Respawn’s popular battle royale title when he decided to talk about something that the game is lacking.

“This is going to sound weird, but I wish the colors in this game – of the maps – were vibrant like Fortnite,” Shroud said, while waiting to get back into another ranker match session.
“Like, bright blue, bright green, bright orange. But, instead, it’s like this sand kind of beige that looks kind of gross, you know. Like this game, if it had all Fortnite colors, it would be so sick in terms of maps.”
It might not be the biggest, game-changing idea ever, but keeping the maps and scenery fresh is something that Epic has proven can keep players coming back for more.
In the case of Apex Legends, Season 7 isn’t all that far away and it’s expected that players will see a new map, so it remains to be seen if it’ll be the bright and shiny map that Shroud desires.
