Developers of Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment, have responded to Battle Pass bug that has plagued their Titanfall-esque battle royale since the release of Season 3.
The big Season 3 update made some strides to fixing many of the community’s biggest bug and glitch complaints, but a new one was also discovered after the new battle pass was added.
Just like the similar system in Fortnite, the battle pass rewards players for playing throughout the season and completing challenges. However, some found that XP was not being added correctly, and thus seemingly receiving no progress on their battle pass.
On October 4, Respawn Entertainment added the issue to “General Bugs” on their Trello board – the place all Apex Legends players should head to in order to find out the status of known issues.
The problem is described as: “The Match summary page will show incorrect total amount of battle pass XP”, with the problem being brought to Respawn’s attention via Reddit and Twitter.
It has also been flagged as “coming in a future patch”, meaning Respawn have likely identified the cause of the problem and are currently working on a patch to resolve the issue.

Other known issues on the Trello board include challenges not tracking in some situations and healing being stopped by a firing weapon.
Given the nature of Season 3’s launch – seeing the culmination of months of hard work and a wealth of new content – it is unsurprising to see isolated issues.
However, some players were becoming frustrated with the lack of tangible progress as a result of the issues. Respawn appear to be on top of it and working on a fix, but they have not yet provided a date for the release.
In the meantime, players will have to remain patient as Respawn sort a patch. But, at least you don’t have to worry about your battle pass progression not tracking properly.
