When it comes to Apex Legends cosplays, Wraith tends to be the most popular pick, but that doesn’t mean Octane can’t get some love as well.
The roster of Apex Legends is pretty much unrivaled when it comes to cosplay opportunities. Each character has a plethora of skins at their disposal so each one could have multiple takes, further increasing the possibilities.
Something you don’t see a whole lot of is a female spin on a male character but that’s exactly what we’re looking at here. Instagram user sadiegeneralmajor took Octane and gave him a female twist. It seems pretty safe to say that she pulled it off in a big way.
Octane on his own is already one of the more difficult characters to cosplay due to his elaborate design, but that was no problem for Sadie she was not only able to nail his mask, but also his signature eye goggles.

Even if this isn’t the most elaborate cosplay we’ve seen, it’s still impressive, especially when you consider the amount of time and work that has to go into creating these outfits.
In another that has green tint over it, you can really see Octane come to life and match his look we see from the game itself.

From this angle, you can also see the stomach design and how it matches Octane’s in-game look almost perfectly. All in all, it’s a solid cosplay of a character who is rather difficult to pull off.
There’s a lot of design aspects you have to get right with a character like Octane, which could be the reason we don’t see a whole lot of them in the wild. Another reason could be he’s not exactly the strongest character in the game and as a result, he doesn’t have as many fans. Perhaps some buffs could come his way in the future.
As for a character like Wraith, there are not as many extra things you’ll need outside of colored contacts if you want to replicate her phasewalking design.

It’s always exciting to see what people can cook up with their cosplays as no two outfits are alike, even if they’re based on the same character.
As the Apex Legends roster continues to grow, we will see even more cosplays in the future and we couldn’t be more excited.
