Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 251 features a recreation of the iconic Toji and Gojo scene with different characters.
Toji and Gojo are among the two most legendary characters in Jujutsu Kaisen despite being completely different from one another. While Gojo stands at the pinnacle of Jujutsu sorcery, Toji is the stain of the Zenin Clan. One is the strongest sorcerer of the modern era, while the other is the invisible man.
Yet, the battle between these two was incredibly intense. Toji carefully planned every step before directly attacking Gojo. The proud young sorcerer faced his first defeat and nearly lost his life. However, he soon gets back on his feet using the Reverse Cursed Technique for the first time.
The only reason Gojo lost against Toji in Jujutsu Kaisen is that the latter’s lack of cursed energy makes him untraceable or rather invisible. The fight begins with Toji impaling Gojo from behind, as the latter never saw this attack coming. This is still one of the most shocking and iconic moments in Jujutsu Kaisen, and Chapter 251 recreates this scene perfectly using different characters. Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 251 recreates iconic Toji and Gojo scene
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 251 recreates the Toji and Gojo scene using Maki and Sukuna.
The chapter mostly focuses on Yuji and Yuta desperately trying to defeat Sukuna. Yuji also sees Megumi, who has given up on living. As the chapter is about to end, Sukuna finds an opportunity to brutally attack Yuji, Yuta, and Rika with his “world-cutting slash.”

However, just then, Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 251 ends on a major cliffhanger as Maki emerges and impales Sukuna from behind the same way Toji did with Gojo. Although Yuji and Yuta vs Sukuna ends in this chapter, the next one will feature Maki going against the villain. There’s also a chance that Yuji and Yuta might get back up since they’re only injured and could have cursed energy to use Reverse Curse Technique.
Now, the reason this scene is so important is because of Maki’s identity. Just like Toji, Maki is the stain of the Zenin Clan for having no cursed energy. The two have the same Heavenly Restricted Body, clearly being stronger than most sorcerers, and yet they’ve been rejected by their clans. After Maki’s glow-up, she keeps getting compared with Toji.
In the manga, Ogi Zenin happily volunteers to kill his daughters Mai and Maki. After Mai’s death, Maki breaks all restrictions on her body and is able to use her abilities to the fullest. In Chapter 148, Maki emerges from the pit of cursed spirits, where Ogi Zenin sees similarities between Maki and Toji.
This terribly frightens him, but he refuses to back down and challenges Maki. The Zenins were always aware of Toji’s full potential but were too prideful to admit it. It was the same case with Maki as well, and they paid the price for it.
After the massacre of the Zenin Clan, the manga gives Maki a chance after a long time. Hence, Gege Akutami decides to commence the battle between Maki and Sukuna by recreating the iconic scene between Toji and Gojo.
