Demon Slayer has been a phenomenon. Starting in 2019, the show swiftly became known as one of the best anime available, thanks to an endearing protagonist, cool lore, and stunning sequences.
We’ve had four seasons of the anime show so far, and what’s coming dwarfs all of them, because it’s the epic war between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan‘s army. Who’ll win? Only one way to find out (unless you’ve read the manga).

Is there a release window for Infinity Castle?
There is currently no confirmed release window for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle. Going by the franchise’s release schedule to date, it’s possible the first film could arrive by 2026.
Demon Slayer has managed to be very consistent over the years, taking two years maximum to produce a new season. Infinity Castle could kick off sooner, in 2025, but it’s up in the air for now.

The first Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle trailer was released on June 30, 2024. It’s a brief teaser, showing the remaining Hashira descending into Muzan’s realm, teasing the very literal journey to Hell that’s coming.
Little else is provided, but that’s alright, because fans have been waiting for this since the early days of the show.
The bigger picture
Effectively, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is Season 5 of the anime. The trilogy will adapt the next arc of the manga following Hashira Training, and though we might see the films re-edited into half-hour episodes like Mugen Train, that’ll happen after they’re released as movies.
Rumors circulated ahead of Season 4 about the plan to finish on three films, drawing some excitement. It seemed like perhaps only the Infinity Castle Arc would get the cinematic treatment, rather than everything left in the manga.

Instead, and more sensibly, it’s all of the Final Battle Arc. Jumping to films is somewhat of a risk, but one that’s worth taking given the franchise thus far.
Mugen Train and the compilation films afterward have all felt like events, and Infinity Castle will be even bigger since it’s the climax of the whole story. The popularity of Demon Slayer means every one of these will be certifiable blockbusters when they arrive – especially the third, since it means we’ll all be saying goodbye to the universe.
What manga chapters are the movies adapting?
The Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle trilogy is adapting manga chapters 140 to 205, the entire Final Battle Arc. The Final Battle Arc is split into two parts: the Infinity Castle Arc (Chapters 140-183) and the Sunrise Countdown Arc (Chapters 184-205).
They both take place within the eponymous location, after the Corps and Hashira are pulled into Muzan’s realm to take the battle to him. The story first covers fights against the Upper Moons, the most powerful demons in Muzan’s army, before moving on the head demon himself.

65 chapters might seen like a lot for three films to cover, but Demon Slayer has done a good job condensing the manga previously. Mugen Train turned 13 chapters into a two-hour movie, and in Season 2, the Entertainment District Arc was converted from 31 chapters to 10 episodes.
Ufotable have proven themselves capable of making the right creative choices when deciding what to cut and what should be expanded. A trilogy of films gives them a chance to refine how Infinity Castle and all the fights are depicted, guaranteeing us some gorgeous, epic sequences.
Where can you watch Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle?
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will have a theatrical run first, before eventually moving to Crunchyroll. This follows previous seasons and Mugen Train. We don’t know the cadence of the three films yet, but when we know, you’ll know.
