Boruto Two Blue Vortex didn’t take much time to set up its pace. From the get-go, it’s delivered one great chapter after another. The manga is also steadily and effectively broadening the world of the Naruto universe.
With only 11 chapters, the series has already involved major incidents, including Kurama’s return, Inojin’s close death encounter, and a brief Boruto vs. Kawaki clash. And by the way things are going, we’ll see some more in the upcoming chapter.
In Chapter 11, we got to see the much-anticipated Himawari vs. Jura fight. However, the Shinju was too strong for Himawari’s new powers. Thankfully, Boruto saved her at the last moment before rescuing Sarada from Hidari. What happens next will be revealed in Chapter 12.

Pick off where the last chapter left off, Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 12 starts with the protagonist facing Hidari after saving Himawari and Sarada, respectively. He entrusts his sister to Konohamaru before engaging the Shinju.

They have a brief altercation where Boruto uses Wind Style: Breakthrough to throw Hidari off. Then the scene changes to Kawaki and Hidari who are observing Jura from the sky. Seeing Himawari or Team 10 no longer there, they head for Boruto’s location.
Boruto vs. Hidari continues. Sumire, who’s regained consciousness, tells the protagonist Hidari is targeting Sarada. The young Uchiha reveals the Shinju wants to consume her while Boruto confesses he’s created from Sasuke’s chakra.
After they’re surrounded by the tailed creatures Hidari summons, Boruto and Sarada fight side by side in Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 12. The protagonist reveals he’ll use Uzuhiko at full power but he needs to recharge it first. Sarada offers to buy him time. Konohamaru also joins.
But when things get too rough and Sarada is captured, Boruto has to use Uzuhiko despite it not being fully recharged yet. However, the technique is still tremendously powerful and rips apart the lower part of Hidari’s body. But as the defeated Shinju falls on the ground, Kawaki swoops in and kills him.
Hidari’s death leaves behind a mysterious object which Kashin Koji identifies as the Soul Thorn. Boruto reveals it’s the only thing which can bring Sasuke back to his original self. However, while he’s being questioned by others, a laser suddenly pierces through him.
When Sarada goes to pick it her, same happens to her hand. Delta then notices it’s Jura. The Shinju takes the Soul Thorn for himself before declaring consuming Kawaki will suffice and thus, he’ll kill Boruto. Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 12 ends here.
