10. Blue Exorcist Season 4

There was once a time when Blue Exorcist’s Rin Okumura was fawned over as one of the most handsome anime characters. Admittedly, the anime – and its characters – popularity has diminished over the years, but it’s still one to look out for.

After seven years, the anime series made a comeback earlier this year in January. Now, it’s making a reappearance again in October, subtitled as Beyond the Snow Saga. Given the key visual of the upcoming anime, we’re about to have an emotional season as conflicts brews between the brothers, Rin and Yuki.

9. Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V

Isekai fans are having a feast this year with so many great options to choose from. Is It Wong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon, more popularly known as DanMachi, is one of most anticipated upcoming anime sequels. After a brilliant fourth season, viewers can’t wait for DanMachi Season 5.

The new season will premiere in October on HIDIVE. As of yet, we don’t have a release date, but we do know its protagonists, thanks to the new character visuals released earlier this year. A new female character, Syr Flova, will take the spotlight along with Bell and Hestia.

8. Blue Lock Season 2

Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle proved that sports anime is finally having its moment in 2024. The release of Blue Lock Season 2 cements that even further. After a spin-off anime movie focusing on Nagi, the sequel series will debut as a Fall 2024 anime in October.

It’ll follow the events of the first season and show Isagi and his teammates competing against stronger opponents to become the star striker for the Japanese National Team. As we already know, there’s no shortage of adrenaline in this sports anime, so you better brace yourself.

7. Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest

Get ready to be hit with a bout of nostalgia as Fairy Tail returns after five years. The beloved shonen anime is coming back to adapt the manga’s sequel spin-off, 100 Years Quest. Tag along on a magical adventure with Team Natsu as they search for the Dragon Gods.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest picks up after the events of the last season. Zeref and Acnologia have been defeated, but our heroes soon find out the danger isn’t over yet. Catch the sequel anime’s premiere on July 7.

6. Kimi ni Todoke Season 3

After more than a decade of no news, fans had lost all hope of getting a new season of this shojo classic. However, Netflix recently confirmed a sequel with the original cast’s return. Season 3 doesn’t have a release date yet, but this upcoming romance anime series will likely air in late 2024. 

Kimi ni Todoke follows an introvert, Sawako Kuronuma, feared among her schoolmates for looking like The Ring’s Sadako. However, she slowly begins to come out of her shell with the help of Shouta Kazehaya and her new friends.

5. Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3

After countless isekai anime releasing every year, we’ve come to expect certain things from them: overpowered protagonist, lighthearted comedy, and plenty of women falling for the ‘irresistible’ hero. However, Re:Zero took everything and turned it on its head.

Blending dark fantasy with psychological thriller in a perfect mix, this anime has been one to look out for ever since its first debut in 2016. It’s coming back with its highly anticipated Season 3 this October, but its release date hasn’t been announced yet.

4. Dragon Ball Daima

If there’s one anime everyone is waiting for with bated breath this year, it’s Dragon Ball Daima. Not only is it the fifth anime installment in the Dragon Ball franchise, but it’s also among the last works of the series’ late creator Akira Toriyama.

First announced in 2023, the long-anticipated anime sequel is set for a October premiere. However, there’s been no further update on its release date. Fortunately, there’s no news of its delay either, so we can expect to finally watch it this fall.

3. Tower of God Season 2

Manhwa-adapted anime are having the best time this year, as evidenced by Solo Leveling’s groundbreaking success as a Winter 2024 anime. Though its second season is still far away, we’re about to get another highly anticipated anime sequel in the form of Tower of God Season 2.

The second season will adapt the Return of the Prince Arc, focusing on a new protagonist, Ja Wangnan, as he enlists the help of the mysterious Viole to pass the 20th floor of the eponymous tower. The upcoming anime returns on July 7.

2. Oshi no Ko Season 2

2023’s groundbreaking seinen anime series Oshi no Ko is returning with a second season this year. Picking up after the events of the first season, it’ll follow Aqua joining the cast of a stage play adapted from a popular manga in order to find the true identity of his biological father.

Oshi no Ko Season 2 will make its debut in Summer 2024, with the first episode releasing on July 3. So, be prepared to be amazed by this unique anime that’s an intriguing blend of fantasy and cutthroat realism.

1. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Conflict

It feels surreal that another one of the shonen classics is nearing its end pretty soon. Bleach fans had lost all hope for the final arc anime until it was announced after more than a decade during the 20th anniversary. TYBW arc will be released in four parts, with the first two parts already being massive hits.

Bleach TYBW Part 3 was announced with a minute-long teaser featuring the highly-anticipated fight between the main villain, Yhwach, and Squad Zero’s captain, Ichibe. The preview also shows Ichigo and his friends storming the Soul King’s palace, which promptly collapses. It is scheduled for 2024.
